Your chalange for today is to describe what your most memorable Christmas meal was! Lots of fun or a big disaster? Where you at home or out with friends?

For me it must be the Christmas a couple of years ago. Both my son and I got stomach flu just before Chrismas and we were so sick! Our Christmas dinner was vegetable soup!

  1. Definitely lots of fun! That was the very first year I spent Christmas with my husband’s family. All of us helped in the kitchen, it was tightly packed chaotic yet super fun. Washing, chopping, slicing with lots of chatter (mostly about how my husband was when he was a kid). 😍

  2. Most memorable was the first year I cooked for my mother in law, the parsnips were so hard when she tried to cut into them they nearly flew off her plate.

  3. I remember Christmas 2014, when I had a terrible allergy. The doctor forbade me to eat almost all the products. And of course I couldn’t drink alcohol. My family and friends had fun all night, and I envied them very much. I felt I was deprived of a holiday…

  4. There is not really a most memorable Christmas for me, as my Christmas is quite the same every year – fondue with the family. Just the number of the family members grows 😊

  7. Well, every year Christmas dinner have something special, sometimes we are all ok, somethimes we have internal problems between brothers, but may be the most strange feeling I had was 3 years ago while I was doing chemotherapy. As you can imagine I couldn’ t eat almost anything from the table but my super mom prepared something healthy and soft for my stomack. Today I feel good and stronger and I will eat as an animal this Christmas 😂😂😂, but those times where very melancholic and foggy times. I’ m happy that I can enjoy my time with friends and family! #GoodTimesAlwaysComesBack

  8. I will always remember a Christmas dinner 2017 with friends and family where everyone enjoyed so much the food, the meals, the companion, the jokes,,,, everything was perfect. Not always it’ s like this, my oldest daughter is not happy when I invite some other people besides family, but this time we all enjoyed together.

  10. the Christmas meal that comes to mind is the year I made a Christmas ham. By the time we got ready for dinner most of it was gone. I live in a house of guys. My three sons and my husband had been walking by slicing off little bits that they thought no one would notice.

  11. Once, at Christmas, my husband and I first came to my husband’s parents and his grandmother. Grandmother was unwell, her husband’s parents were busy. And I went to the market, bought food, cooked salads and baked turkey. At dinner, it turned out that nobody likes such salads and does not eat, except for me. And nobody likes this stuffing in turkey either. Well at least the turkey itself was prepared well and everyone ate her meat)))

  12. My most memorable holiday meal was a few years ago. I always make apple and pumpkin pies. This particular year, I got half way through making the pies, when I realized that I didn’t have enough pumpkin. It was late and everything was closed, so I had to improvise. I substituted butternut squash for pumpkin in one of the pies. I was so nervous the next day, but when it came time for the pie, everyone raves about how good it was. Even my mom said she thought I did a better job than usual. (My Mom will be HONEST with me. 😂) so now I know, pumpkin pie is better with butternut squash. And no, I never told anyone about the switch. 😉

  13. It was 2 years ago. I was in my new home and invited all my family to spend Christmas at my house. I made a Greek rice, I put salt and I forgot, so I put salt again. It was horrible, nobody could eat because it was extremely salty. Well, the rest of the Christmas dinner was fine. But the rice was memorable 😂😂😂.

  14. Last year both my daughter and I had the flu. A real disaster. I couldn’t eat anything and I slept for 48 hours straight from Christmas Eve to the night of the 26th.

  15. My most memorable Christmas meal was the first time I had to cook for my husbands family, I prepared and cooked for days and was very stressed. But everything went fine, and I had so much food left that I could feed my own family on Christmas day and still had leftovers for a week.

  16. Certainly more than 15 years ago I was in bad terms with my parents, so I and my son celebrated with a friend and her daughters. This was a new experience and there I learned to have a fondue on Christmas Eve. This ja now our new tradition!

  17. My most memorable Christmas meals are at my sister-in-law’s house, she loves to make lots of small toasts, cook lots of dishes, make many many desserts, she creates lots of decorations and it’s different every time, for the pleasure of the eyes and the mouth!

  18. My best and original meal was a “coq au vin” made by a great chef. It was decades ago, was working part time in a high class restaurant in Montréal, when I was in University. On Christmas night, many employers of this place had no family around (they came for other countries). So they organized a great and fantastic Xmas supper. The chef was with us, so it’s was PERFECT! 🙂

  19. I think the most memorable was last year. I had all my kids here and my new grandson. It is really nice when we can all be together at once.
