The next Ohm beads Bead of the Month is the one for November no. 42 Rebirth. It’s a phoenix, a long-lived bird that cyclically regenerates or born again. Associated with the Sun, a phoenix obtains new life by arising from the ashes of its predecessor. According to some sources, the phoenix dies in a show of flames and combustion, although there are other sources that claim that the legendary bird dies and simply decomposes before being born again, Not a seasonal themed bead at first site but it makes me think of bonfires and cosy logburners.

Ohm beads made it a party again! The bead comes with a beautiful candlelight holder!

So unpacking was so much fun.

The bead comes with a numbered certificate and a code that is engraved on the bead. Only 777 beads are made.

Rebirth is an awesome detailed Phoenix bird with spread wings. There is so much detail on this gorgeous bead, from the flames on the wings, the scales on the breast and the flowing of the tail. He is modeled as a bird in flight with outstretched wings and claws. The two holes in the wings are ofcourse for threading a bracelet or necklace.

I made some pictures of Rebirth flying solo, so you can see how he soars on the bracelet.

First I made a bangle with Rotten Heart, Love Cage, Forsythia and Sunshine. I find that Rebirth sits better between two round glass beads, rather than barrel shaped glass. Let me show you.

Here I put Rebirth with two Fireball. I think round or facet glass fits Rebirth better.

I love stacking a bangle with my Pandora watch. This bangle has OhmMyGod and OhmMyGod 2.0, two red spinners, Quil and two facet shaped glass beads. Oh, and the stoppers are two fire-ish!

I happened to have many fire coloured glass beads, my favourite colour range. So I had to make a bracelet with Dragon’s Breath, two CustOhms, two Fireballs, Forsythia, Sunshine and Strawberry.

Rebirth can also be worn on the ball chain necklace. I only have the older, smaller necklace which does not have a lock. But I love how Rebirth flies with the chain just looped through one wing!

I think Rebirth is one of the most stunning, detailed, gorgeous, focal and inspiring beads Ohm beads has made in some time! I love to play with fire! 🔥
